What to Expect
Clubs Connect is all about people, shared experiences, and making a difference together. Over the weekend, you’ll have the chance to meet fellow Rotaractors, take part in team challenges, explore Newcastle with a local perspective, enjoy social moments and meals, and contribute to a hands-on community project. Whether you join organised activities, try something new, or simply soak up the city with your club, the weekend is designed to be flexible, welcoming, and full of opportunities to connect, collaborate, and create lasting memories.
-
The weekend will begin on Friday evening with welcome drinks as a first opportunity to meet and get to know everyone before the weekend.
-
Saturday starts with everyone gathering for a group breakfast at a local spot before taking part in a team activity to get to know the city better.
-
In the afternoon, there will be opportunities to support a community project in Newcastle before a dinner and activities on Saturday night.
-
Don’t need to leave early? Join us on a trip to Newcastle’s coastline, located just a 20 minute Tyne and Wear Metro ride east from Newcastle city centre, boasts award-winning beaches, dramatic cliffs, and historical landmarks. Major hubs include Tynemouth, Whitley Bay, and South Shields, offering everything from surfing to seafood.
