Chair of Rotaract GBI shares message for the start of the new Rotary year
"Rotaract Great Britain and Ireland enters the 2026–27 Rotary year even stronger, more connected and more ambitious. As we kick off the new year, I feel an immense sense of pride, optimism and excitement for what lies ahead.
Over the past six months, we have laid important foundations for the future of Rotaract Great Britain and Ireland. Together, we have strengthened our organisation, improved how we connect with members, and created new opportunities for clubs and individuals to grow, lead and make a difference.
This work has truly placed us in a position of strength. We have a clear direction, an engaged and passionate network, a dedicated Board of Directors, and a renewed confidence in our collective potential. We have momentum, we have a strategy, and we have every reason to be ambitious about the future.
Yet the true strength of Rotaract has never rested with one individual, one club or one Board. It has always been found in the clubs and members who make this organisation what it is. Every member who gives their time to serve their community, steps forward to lead, welcomes a new member, delivers a project, or dares to bring a new idea to life. I want to thank every Rotaractor, Club Officer and Director who has supported me and contributed to our shared journey so far.
As we embark on this new Rotary year, I encourage us all to think boldly about the difference we can make. To continue to succeed, we must strengthen our clubs, champion new ideas, develop People of Action and expand our impact in communities across Great Britain and Ireland. I am a firm believer that the future of Rotaract is not something that will happen to us, it is something we have to create together.
I am honoured to continue serving as your Chair and I cannot wait to see what we achieve in the year ahead. Let's approach 2026–27 with confidence, ambition and determination."
